Kaduna State University Students Embark on Abuja Excursion to Explore National Governance
During the excursion, the students visited the National Assembly, where they engaged with legislators, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D.
Students from the Department of Political Science, International Relations, and Diplomacy at Kaduna State University (KASU) have completed an educational excursion to Abuja, aimed at deepening their understanding of Nigeria’s governance structures. The visit, held from September 24 to 27, 2024, is part of the university’s initiative to enhance practical learning.
During the excursion, the students visited the National Assembly, where they engaged with legislators, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D.
They were provided insights into the legislative process and governance. The group also toured the INEC Institute, where they attended lectures on Nigeria's electoral system. Additionally, they explored the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre, learning about the legacy of national leadership.
The excursion underscores KASU’s commitment to offering students hands-on experiences that complement academic instruction.
