Sa'adu Zungur University Introduces New Programmes to Enhance Academic and Career Opportunities

Sa'adu Zungur University (SAZU), a Bauchi State-owned institution, has launched a range of new programmes aimed at providing students with enhanced academic and career opportunities.

According to Wasilu Suleiman, Director of Human Resources and Career Development, the new programmes were introduced following approval by the University's Senate during its 49th regular meeting held on July 25, 2024.

The new programmes include top-up degree, HND to BSc conversion programmes, diploma courses, and professional certificates in various fields, designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their chosen careers.

In the Faculty of Management, new programmes include BSc Accounting, BSc Business Administration, and BSc Public Administration, which can be completed within two academic sessions.

In the Faculty of Social Sciences, new programmes include BSc Economics, BSc Political Science, and BSc Sociology, also designed to be completed within two academic sessions.

Additionally, the University has introduced diploma courses in accounting and finance, marketing, and science laboratory technology, as well as professional certificates in various fields, including epidemiology, public health surveillance, vector control, bioinformatics, demography, rural economy, biostatistics, health nutrition, and molecular biology.

These new programmes aim to enhance the university's academic offerings and provide students with a competitive edge in the job market.
