KASU Attains International Recognition for Masters Program in Procurement

Kaduna State University (KASU) has achieved a significant milestone by securing international accreditation from the prestigious Chartered Institute of Procurement in the United Kingdom (CIPS) for its Master of Procurement Programme for the academic year 2023-2024. This accreditation marks KASU as the first and only university in Nigeria to receive such recognition.
The announcement was made in a statement released by the university's Public Relations Officer, Adamu Nuhu Bargo, and shared with the Nigerian Tribune on Monday.

The statement highlighted that the accreditation enhances KASU's commitment to academic excellence and provides its graduates with unparalleled opportunities. Graduates from KASU's Master of Procurement Programme are now eligible for exemptions from exams, earning them the esteemed title of 'Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply' (MCIPS) without the need for a traditional three-year examination period.
Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, expressed immense pride in this accomplishment, emphasizing the university's dedication to producing highly qualified professionals capable of competing globally. He acknowledged Dr. Ibrahim Ali, a former Head of the Department of Procurement, for his significant role in obtaining the certification.
