KASU Hosts 3rd International Conference on Leadership, Sustainability, and Digital Transformation

Kaduna State University’s (KASU) Faculty of Management Sciences successfully hosted the 3rd International Conference 2024 on Wednesday, 27th November, addressing key global challenges in the fields of inclusive leadership, environmental sustainability, and digital transformation in management sciences.
The conference, themed “Global Challenges on Inclusive Leadership, Environmental Sustainability, and Digital Transformation in Management Science,” attracted scholars, practitioners, and students, all discussing pressing issues affecting the management sciences sector.
Prof. Aminu Ladan Sharehu, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing the challenges facing management sciences today. He urged attendees to actively engage in discussions that could promote societal progress.
KASU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, commended the organizers and expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Sen. Uba Sani, for supporting the university's global vision. He encouraged KASU staff, especially those from the Faculty of Management Sciences, to explore international opportunities for academic and professional development.
In his keynote address, Prof. Bello Ayuba, represented by Dr. John Danfulani, emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership in fostering equality. He urged participants to focus on leadership as a critical factor in tackling the challenges of today’s society.
The conference also featured a presentation by Prof. Jafaru Abdullahi Bambale, who discussed the role of self-awareness in leadership and called for increased efforts to close the inclusion gap, particularly in senior corporate roles.
Breakout sessions and panel discussions on sustainability and digital transformation provided participants with a dynamic platform to exchange ideas and explore practical solutions. The conference concluded with a renewed commitment to collaboration and ongoing dialogue to address the complex challenges within the management sciences field.
