Kwara Governor Condoles UNILORIN Over Tragic Campus Accident
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expresses condolences to the University of Ilorin following a fatal motor accident on campus that resulted in one death and multiple injuries.

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed deep condolences to the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) community following a tragic motor accident on campus last Thursday, July 18, 2024. The accident resulted in the death of one student and left several others injured.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor AbdulRazaq extended his sympathies to the entire UNILORIN community and the family of the deceased student. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for the swift recovery of the injured students and offered prayers for strength to the bereaved family, friends, and classmates.

The tragic incident has also garnered sympathy from notable figures, including Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS); Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) and Dean of the Forum of SUBEB Chairmen in Nigeria; and Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU). These leaders have joined in expressing their sorrow and support for the university.
