The event, held in the university’s main auditorium, featured a compelling dialogue delivered by the Honourable Guest Speaker Munir S. Ishaq Esq.
Munir S. Ishaq Esq., a highly esteemed alumnus of Bayero University, Kano, brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the symposium. With a distinguished career that includes serving as the National Director of the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) in 2019 and as the Chief Justice of LAWSAN in 2020, Ishaq’s credentials are a testament to his dedication and excellence in the field of law. He was also recognized as the best male graduate student in his class in 2021.

The symposium kicked off with an introduction by the President of the Equity Chamber, who emphasized the importance of mentorship and continuous learning in the legal profession. The President highlighted the Equity Chamber’s commitment to providing platforms where students can interact with seasoned professionals and gain insights that will help them excel in their academic and professional journeys.
In his keynote address, Munir S. Ishaq Esq. delved into his personal journey as a law student and the various challenges and triumphs he encountered along the way. He spoke about the importance of hard work, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Ishaq emphasized the need for law students to not only focus on their studies but also engage in extracurricular activities, such as moot court competitions, internships, and student leadership roles, to build a well-rounded profile.
