UNILORIN VC Urges Alumni to Promote Positive Image of University
Vice Chancellor Prof. Wahab Egbewole of the University of Ilorin has urged alumni to promote the institution's positive image globally. This call came during the unveiling of Mr. Okayinka Fafoluyi as an advocate for UNILORIN, recognizing his contributions in media and public relations.

In a recent event held in Ilorin, Vice Chancellor Prof. Wahab Egbewole (SAN) of the University of Ilorin has called on alumni of the institution to actively uphold and enhance its positive reputation globally. The occasion marked the unveiling of Mr. Okayinka Fafoluyi, Special Assistant on New Media to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, as an advocate for the university.

The initiative, known as the University of Ilorin Advocates Unveiling, aims to recognize and honor alumni who have made significant impacts in their respective fields and communities, thereby uplifting the alma mater's image.
Prof. Egbewole emphasized that the University of Ilorin remains a leading institution in Nigeria, respected worldwide for its academic excellence and contributions to society. He highlighted the pivotal role of alumni in championing the university’s values of excellence, integrity, and community engagement.
"As advocates, you will serve as our mouthpiece, promoting our institution's strengths and fostering collaborations," stated Prof. Egbewole. "Your leadership and networks will play a crucial role in enhancing UNILORIN's reputation both nationally and internationally."
