Kwara State Receives Licence From NUC to Establish New University of Education

Mr. Chris Maiyaki, Acting Executive Secretary of NUC, confirmed that with this approval, Nigeria now has a total of 274 universities, including 64 state-owned and 148 private institutions.

Kwara State Receives Licence From NUC to Establish New University of Education

The National Universities Commission (NUC) officially granted Kwara State a licence to establish the Kwara State University of Education, Ilorin. The licence was received by Deputy Governor Kayode Afolabi on behalf of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The formal presentation of the recognition letter to the governor followed the submission of three critical documents: the law establishing the university, the Academic Brief, and the Physical Master Plan, all approved by the Kwara State House of Assembly.
