Michael Oye Dada, Deputy Registrar at Kwara State University, was honored at a retirement event on Friday, August 23, 2024. Dada, a pioneer staff member in the Registry Department, is retiring after 32 years of service, having joined the university on October 27, 2009.

Vice Chancellor Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh praised Dada as a 'thorough administrator' and 'dictionary of university administration'. Professor Jimoh announced that Dada would be retained on a contract basis to mentor new Registrar staff.

Registrar Dr. Kikelomo Sallee commended Dada for his legacy of diligence, noting he is the oldest and first Registry Department staff member to retire.

In his response, Dada expressed gratitude and pledged to assist with staff training and re-training in the future. His family attended the event to celebrate his distinguished career.
