Kwara State University Issues Warning on Fake Postgraduate Admission Advertisement

The management of Kwara State University (KWASU) has issued a disclaimer alerting the public to a fraudulent website advertising the sale of postgraduate admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session. The fake site falsely claims that the sale of forms will run from August 1st to August 31st, 2024, and urges interested applicants to apply through their platform.

In an official statement, the university clarified that the School of Postgraduate Studies has not yet advertised the commencement of admission for the 2024/2025 session. The public is strongly advised to disregard the fake advertisement, which has been put out with the intent to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

KWASU emphasized that all processes related to postgraduate admissions are conducted exclusively through the university's official portal, and payments should be made directly to the university's account via the portal. The university also reminded the public that it communicates sensitive information only through its verified social media handles and official website.

The statement, signed by Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, assured the public that KWASU will announce the commencement of postgraduate admissions at an appropriate time approved by the management.
