Lagos Corps Members Celebrate Colorful Cultural Day

The Lagos State NYSC has hosted a colorful Cultural Carnival for its 2023 Batch "B" Stream I Orientation corps members. Myschoolnews reports the cultural day celebration was held amidst heavy downpour as everyone ran for safety with the three major sponsors of the event also fleeing.

The Lagos State NYSC has hosted

a colorful Cultural Carnival for its 2023 Batch "B" Stream I Orientation corps members.

Myschoolnews reports the cultural day celebration was held amidst heavy downpour as everyone ran for safety with the three major sponsors of the event also fleeing.

When the rains persisted, select corps members were called to pray just like two years ago.

When the Rains stopped, the corps members descended on the ground in all their tribal majesty, regalias, with beads, elastic waists, and stumping feets.

All were mesmerized. Dazzled as Yetunde Baderinwa, the camp coordinator danced energetically

While Oluwakemi Awolola, the Camp Director was tireless.

Camp Officials called for more music from the Disc Jockey as Corps members flew off the handle, dancing to the tunes from the DJ.

Another competition came on board as Minimie wanted a 60 seconds advert for its noodles and it was ready to part away with #200,000 to the best winning Platoons.

At the end, for the Minimie contest, Platoon 6 won a #100,000. Platoon 5 won #60, 000 while Platoon 3 won #40,000.

In the main contest, which is the Cultural Carnival, Platoon 3, with Ekombi dance won the first prize of #50,000. Platoon 7 with Nkwaumu dance came second, winning #30,000 while Platoon 1 with Swange dance came third winning #20,000.

Ogene dance. Koroso. Ugho. Sharo. Bata. Nkwaumu. Swange. Ekombi. Ikpiri. Gese were the dances drawn out for the Cultural Carnival.
