This move aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s earlier announcement in January, aimed at bolstering the state’s medical infrastructure and addressing the trend of medical professionals emigrating abroad.

Governor Sanwo-Olu revealed that the new Lagos State Medical University is slated for establishment by the end of 2024. The planned institution is expected to graduate approximately 1,500 doctors annually, marking a significant enhancement to the state’s medical education and healthcare capabilities.
