Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced that all candidates admitted for the 2024/2025 academic session are required to undergo an online admissions clearance exercise through the LASU Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA). This digital process, which commences on Friday, September 27, 2024, is critical for admitted candidates to secure their matriculation numbers.

The LACACA operation is a proprietary platform developed by LASU Consult Limited, designed to streamline the clearance process. Candidates who successfully complete the procedure will be assigned matriculation numbers, while those who fail to comply will forfeit their provisional admissions.

In preparation for the clearance, candidates must pay the required clearance fees, as well as their acceptance and medical fees, via the LASU e-payment portal before starting the LACACA process.

Steps for LACACA Clearance Fee Payment:

  1. Visit the LASU Consult portal at https://www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment 
  2. Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the "Matriculation Number/Application Number" field.
  3. Provide a valid email address and phone number.  
  4. Click “Continue” to proceed with the payment.

LACACA Online Clearance Procedure:

  1. Visit the LASU official website at https://www.lasu.edu.ng
  2. Hover over the “STUDENT” tab and select “UG LACACA.”
  3. Enter your UTME registration number and surname, then click “Submit.”
  4. Complete the following tasks on the dashboard:
    • Validate your basic bio-data.
    • Verify your disability status.
    • Upload O’Level scratch card details.
    • Upload your original birth certificate.
    • Upload your original UTME result.
    • Upload your JAMB admission letter.
    • Upload a scanned signature.
    • Submit the application by checking the “I Agree” box and clicking “Submit.”

Upon submission, the clearance progress will move to 20%, and the uploaded documents will undergo further scrutiny by LASU officials. Candidates are advised to regularly check their dashboard for updates and any errors that may require correction. Should any errors occur, candidates will need to pay for the corrections via the university’s e-payment portal.

Once the clearance process reaches 100%, candidates will be able to print their LASU Admission Clearance Certificate and will be issued a matriculation number, officially confirming their admission for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Rejected candidates are advised to check the portal for the reasons for rejection and may be required to visit the Admission Office on the 3rd Floor of the Senate Building at LASU’s main campus in Ojo for further guidance.
