LASU Hosts 38th SONTA International Conference

The Department of Theatre and Film Arts, Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, hosted the 38th International Conference and 39th Annual General Meeting of the Society of Nigerian Theatre Artists (SONTA) on September 3, 2025.

The event, themed "Technology, Intercultural Dialogue, and the Future of the Performing Arts," brought together scholars, creative practitioners, and dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello welcomed participants to LASU, describing it as "the most preferred, most digitally advanced, and best state university in Nigeria." She emphasized the importance of shaping the future of the performing arts with creativity, courage, and compassion.
