LASU Student Excels in Space for Africa Essay Competition

Stephen Odoziaku, a final-year Chemical Engineering student at Lagos State University (LASU), has emerged second in the third edition of the Space for Africa Essay Competition organized by the African Space Leadership Institute (ASLI). The competition, which drew 71 entries, required participants to write an essay on how space can contribute to achieving one of the African Union's Agenda 2063 goals.

The African Space Leadership Institute (ASLI) is Africa's first space-focused think tank, established to bridge gaps in space policy and decision-making on the continent. ASLI aims to facilitate the success of the African outer space program and national space initiatives by promoting knowledge and expertise in engineering and non-engineering fields.
