LASUED and CAC Partner to Formalize Student-Led Businesses in Entrepreneurship Drive

The Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Skills Development (DESD) at Lagos State University of Education, Oto/Ijanikin, organized a business registration exercise in collaboration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the E.T.F Hall.

The event, graced by CAC officials, staff, and students, aimed to support students in formalizing their businesses through CAC registration, aligning with the university's focus on entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

Delivering his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University of Education, Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye ably represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Daodu Morufu Adebayo welcomed the CAC team, appreciating their efforts in the University Community.

He emphasized the importance of the exercise, urging students to follow instructions and pay attention to the enlightenment talks.

CAC facilitator, Mr. Tochukwu Okonkwo educated students on the registration process, highlighting the required information, including company name and business nature. He explained the two ways to register a company with CAC and encouraged students to take advantage of the exercise to secure their business future.

The event provides clarity on requirements and steps for business registration, empowering students to formalize their ventures.
