The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, was honored with an Award of Excellence by the Progressive Union Leaders of Past Students from Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.

The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, recently received an Award of Excellence from the Progressive Union Leaders of Past Students from Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.
Leading the delegation, Comrade Olatunde Ayodele emphasized the union’s commitment to giving back and celebrating outstanding alumni. He noted that Professor Lafiaji-Okuneye’s appointment as the Vice Chancellor marks a historic milestone, as she is the first among them to attain such a prestigious academic position.
During the visit, the delegation lauded her remarkable contributions to human resource development, socio-economic progress, and academic excellence. They also reaffirmed their solidarity and appreciation for her dedication to higher education and institutional growth.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the Award of Excellence to Professor Lafiaji-Okuneye, in recognition of her impact and dedication to fostering academic and societal advancement.
