Lead City University has commenced discussions with Man O' War Nigeria on a partnership aimed at strengthening campus safety, student leadership and community engagement through the Safe School Initiative.

The discussions followed a courtesy visit by the National Commander of Man O' War Nigeria, Adedamola Gbenga Emmanuel, alongside members of the organisation's national and state leadership to the university's management.

According to the university, the visit marks a significant step towards establishing stronger collaboration on initiatives that promote a safer and more secure learning environment.

During the meeting, both parties discussed plans to establish a Man O' War Nigeria Unit at Lead City University. The proposed unit is expected to equip students and staff with skills in security awareness, emergency preparedness, leadership development, mental resilience, physical fitness and community service.

The university said the initiative is designed to empower participants to serve as ambassadors of safety within the institution and their respective communities.

The Man O' War Nigeria delegation also commended Lead City University for maintaining a safe, secure and conducive learning environment for more than two decades, describing the institution's commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of students and staff as commendable.
