The Blooming Greens School,Yaba, Lagos instills social values in its students with the donation of all the proceeds from its seventh art exhibition to the less privileged community.

The Chief Executive Officer of Blooming Greens School, Susan Babatunde-Yamah, during the event, explained that the purpose of the exhibition is to offer students a new way of learning through giving to the less privileged.

In this school, our children are supportive because we expose them to core life values. It is also getting our children to appreciate the fact that they’re privileged.

“What prompted me into doing this, I personally like to support the less privileged. I love to inculcate the tradition of giving in the children. The children are ready and excited to support other children out there. Our parents have been supportive and are also buying the children’s art works,” she said.

The art exhibition titled, ‘Artrageous Charity.' is an annual event that gathers parent in the school to celebrate the handiwork of their various wards and also appreciate the culture it represents.

10-year-old pupil, Zara Danyaro, who had about three art works on displayed during the exhibition, said, “My artwork represents African women’s intelligence and their black skin. The other artwork concentrated on African animals.

“I derive my inspiration from my art teacher, Africa and animals. I love art and making art works. I always enjoy this art exhibition every year. Not only are we expressing our art prowess, but we are also helping the less privileged. We are using art and our creativity to help less privileged.”
