MAAUN to Host 6th Online Lecture Series on Mycotoxins and Chronic Diseases

The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) will host its 6th Online Lecture Series on November 1, 2024, focusing on *“Mycotoxins and Chronic Diseases: A Public Health Perspective.”* The lecture, organized by the School of Health Sciences and School of Nursing Sciences, will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (WAT).
Dr. Sajid Mehmood, Assistant Professor at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Pakistan, will lead the session. His lecture will explore the health risks posed by mycotoxins, toxic compounds produced by certain fungi, and their connection to chronic diseases. Participants will gain insights into the public health challenges associated with mycotoxins and strategies to mitigate these risks.
The event is aimed at health sciences and nursing students, faculty, researchers, and public health professionals with an interest in food safety and disease prevention.
