Madinah University Honours Alaro, Her Distinguished Alumnus
The award, which was conferred on Prof. Alaro last Wednesday (May 24, 2023) at the institution's campus in Madinah, was part of the activities marking the 59th convocation ceremonies of the University.
The former Head of the Department of Islamic Law, University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulRazzaq Abdulmajeed Alaro, has been honoured with the Most Outstanding Alumni Award in Academic/Intellectual Impact by the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The award, which was conferred on Prof. Alaro last Wednesday (May 24, 2023) at the institution's campus in Madinah, was part of the activities marking the 59th convocation ceremonies of the University.
Prof. Alaro, who was one of the four products of the University singled out for celebration, was handed the award plaque by the Governor of Madinah Province, Prince Faisal bin Salman.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo
Egbewole, SAN, has congratulated the renowned cleric-don on the award.
Prof. Egbewole, in a statement by the University's Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, saluted the contributions of Prof. Alaro to the growth of intellectual and spiritual knowledge, which earned him the honour and several others that had come his way.
The Vice Chancellor wished Prof. Alaro more successes and sound health.
