MAU Commended for Excellence Following Successful National TVET Institutional Review
Modibbo Adama University (MAU) has received high marks from the Federal Ministry of Education following a comprehensive institutional review under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative.
The assessment, aimed at strengthening vocational delivery across Nigeria, involved a rigorous evaluation of the university’s programmes, facilities, and administrative processes using standardized national grading tools.
The review team, led by Hajia Rukayya Muhammad, expressed strong satisfaction with the university’s operational standards. She specifically lauded the university’s Consultancy Unit and the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Umar, for their visible commitment to advancing technical education and skills development.
“The team was impressed by the scope and quality of programmes executed through the MAU Consultancy Services,” Hajia Muhammad noted, adding that the institution's activities reflect a dedication to national capacity building.
Responding to the feedback, Vice-Chancellor Professor Ibrahim Umar thanked the assessors for their objective evaluation. He reaffirmed MAU’s mission to remain a leader in technical education, assuring the delegation that the university would use the constructive feedback to bridge existing gaps and further enhance service delivery.
The Vice-Chancellor was supported during the visit by:
Prof. Ibrahim Danjuma, MD/CEO of MAU Consultancy Services.
Prof. Dauda Moses, TVET Centre Manager.
This exercise is a critical component of Nigeria’s broader strategy to create a data-driven TVET framework. By aligning institutional capacity with industry needs, MAU continues to position itself as a hub for innovation and specialized skill acquisition in the region.
