MDCN to Induct Medical Doctor Graduates from UDUS

Medical doctors who bagged the Bachelor of Medicine from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), will be inducted by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) on December 22, 2025.
The induction ceremony, scheduled to commence at 9AM, will be held at the university auditorium, main campus.
Having obtained their respective degrees in either Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), the 2023/2024 Class of Sponsio Academica will be sworn into the profession in the presence of several dignitaries from across the country, with Prof. Bashir Garba, UDUS VC, being the Chief Host of the event.
Among the guests invited to grace the inductees’ achievement are: the Special Guest of Honour, Prof. Fatima Kyari, Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria; the Royal Father of the Day, His Eminence Alh. (Dr) Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto; and the Distinguished Chairman, Hon. Dr Yusuf Tanko, Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
The official invitation released by the school management for well-wishers, families, and friends includes the attendance of Prof. AbdulGafar O. Jimoh, Provost of the College of Health Sciences, as the Host; and Prof. Anas A. Sabir, Chief Medical Director of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), as the Co-Host, alongside the Honourable Commissioners of Health from Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara.
