Meet Sen. Khalid Abdulwahab Liman; The President, Nasarawa State Students Association, ATBU

Sen Khalid hails from Toto local government area of Nasarawa state. He belongs to the GADE-Babye tribe. He was born on March 11th, 1990.

He attended Godswill Nursery and Primary School, Toto, from 1996-2002. He then proceeded to Special Government Science Secondary School Kuru, Jos, from 2002-2008. After graduation from secondary school, he proceeded to The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa from 2012-2014.

He served as Health Prefect during primary school and Health committee chairman in Secondary School. In 2018, he was admitted into the department of Chemical Engineering, ATBU BAUCHI as a Direct Entry Student.

He is currently a 400-level student and a Chemical Engineering Technician. He has held several leadership positions from Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa to ATBU Bauchi.

He served as the Secretary-General of the GADE-Babye spoken language of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa from 2013 to 2014. He was also the Chairman, Electoral committee, Department of Chemical Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa. Additionally, he served as the Financial Secretary of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi (2019-2021) administration under the leadership of Comr. Muhammed Sani Goje.

Furthermore, he acted as the Spokesperson to the President of the National Universities Engineering Students' Association (NUESA) under the leadership of Comrd Ishaq Hambali, popularly known as Minister.

Currently, he holds the position of President of the Nasarawa State Students Association (NASSA), ATBU BAUCHI. He previously held the position of Senate Clerk in the Nasarawa State Students Association (NASSA) National Body. Moreover, he is currently serving as the PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE in the Nasarawa state students Association (NASSA National Body). Additionally, he is the Chairman of the 36 States President Forum at ATBU Bauchi Chapter.

He has achieved notable accomplishments throughout his journey. He played a pivotal role in reviving and restoring the pride and dignity of the GADE-Babye Union at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa during the 2012/2013 administration. Furthermore, he is considered the most dedicated, committed, active, and determined President of the Nasarawa state students Association (NASSA) ATBU chapter, having taken NASSA ATBU chapter in all picks of participation and also protecting their rights and dignity in all ramifications.

He has numerous work experiences which include; 

1. He was once a SIWES student of Usuma Dam, water Treatment plant F.C.T Abuja. (4 months) i.e after his ND 1 level (2011) at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa. 

2. He did his I.T at Operations Department NNPC/PPMC Depot Abuja, located at Suleja, Niger state (1 year industrial Training) which he further extended to 2 more years after he graduated as a Chemical Engineering Technician(National Diploma graduate) 2014. 

3. He worked as a DPR temporary staff at Warri Private Depots, (2018) for 6 months before his admission into ATBU Bauchi as D.E student that same year.

He has attended numerous Engineering Conferences. He is also a member of Young Engineers Forum (YEF), Nasarawa State. He is also a senior staff member in the Works Department, Gwagwalada Area Council, FCT Abuja.
