Mountain Top University (MTU) held its 7th Convocation Ceremony alongside its 10th Anniversary Celebration, marking a decade of academic growth, institutional achievements, and the graduation of the Class of 2025.

The event brought together graduands, parents, university management, and distinguished guests in an atmosphere of thanksgiving for ten years of sustained impact in teaching, research, and character development. The ceremony highlighted MTU’s commitment to producing graduates grounded in excellence, discipline, and leadership, with many alumni already contributing meaningfully across various professional sectors.

The university’s academic model, driven by advanced curricula and structured extracurricular programmes, featured prominently during the celebration. Key initiatives such as the Every Student a Musician (ESM) programme, compulsory entrepreneurship courses, and mandatory Success and Leadership training were cited as core pillars in preparing students for global relevance and societal transformation through innovation, research, development, and corporate social responsibility.

Miss Akinyemi Omolola Faith of the Department of Mathematics emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student with a CGPA of 4.94. She led a cohort of 42 First Class graduates across multiple departments who were formally recognised for outstanding academic performance.

A total of 346 students were awarded degrees at the convocation, including nine doctoral graduates, underscoring the university’s expanding postgraduate and research capacity as it enters its second decade of existence.
