MSSN ABU Hosts Onboarding Programme for New Students, Celebrates Academic and Moral Excellence

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, successfully held its New Students’ Onboarding Programme for 100 Level and Direct Entry students on Sunday, 8th February, 2026 (20th Sha’ban, 1447 AH) at the TETFUND Theatre, beside ICSA/Ramat Hall.

The programme, themed “Seeking Knowledge with Purpose: Faith, Focus, and the Future,” was organized to properly orientate newly admitted students on academic excellence, moral discipline, spiritual consciousness, and campus security, while also unveiling the 10 winners of the MSSN ABU Online Quiz.

The first lecture titled “Roadmap to Academic Excellence: Strategies for Success” was delivered by Dr. Yusuf Abubakar, who guided students on effective study techniques, time management, goal setting, and sustaining academic consistency.

The second session, “Moral and Spiritual Integrity for a Fulfilling Student Life,” was presented by Dr. Munir Sani Ari, who stressed the importance of faith, character, and moral uprightness as essential tools for navigating campus life successfully.

The third session on “Campus Security and Personal Safety Essentials” was delivered by the Chief Security Officer, ABU Zaria, who enlightened participants on security awareness, personal safety practices, and responsible conduct within the university community.

A practical and highly engaging CGPA calculation session was facilitated by DVM. Dr. Ibrahim AbdurRazzaq, Former Secretary General, MSSN ABU Zaria, where students were guided on how to accurately compute and monitor their academic performance. The programme also featured security tips, interactive Kahoot sessions, interludes, and the official unveiling and recognition of the MSSN ABU Online Quiz winners, making the event educative and impactful.
