MSSN BUK Chapter Pays Courtesy Visit to Vice-Chancellor, Commends Management

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Bayero University Kano (BUK) Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, on January 7, 2025.

 

During the visit, the Amir, Ustaz Musa Suleiman Rabru, expressed the society's heartfelt appreciation to the university management for its unwavering support, which has significantly contributed to the society's growth and success.

The Amir highlighted the society's impactful activities on campus, including providing food items to 20 students in need, covering registration fees for 10 students, and organizing Islamic and political lectures, as well as Da'wah programs.

 

However, the Amir appealed to the university management for financial support and the provision of a dedicated secretariat, citing the current space as inadequate and limiting the effectiveness of the society's operations.

In response, Professor Abbas welcomed the Shura Council and expressed his happiness with the society's activities, commending them as "wonderful achievements." He approved the release of funds to support the society's initiatives and promised to provide an alternative space for the society pending the completion of a new center by the Al-Falah Foundation.

 

The Vice-Chancellor also encouraged the society to include peace as a topic in their daily congregational prayers. The visit was attended by members of the MSSN Shura Council, including the Amir, Secretary, and other executives.
