NAISS Successfully Orients New Students at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto

The National Association of Islamic Studies Students (NAISS) at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto successfully organized its annual Orientation Program yesterday, marking a significant milestone for the newly admitted students of the department.

The event served as a formal welcome and a vital introductory session, designed to equip the fresh intake with the necessary knowledge to navigate their new academic environment.

This program also acted as the formal conclusion to the activities of the previous week, bridging the gap between introductory learning and full integration into the university community.

During the session, several distinguished lecturers from the department delivered insightful presentations aimed at guiding the students through the complexities of university life. 

These discussions centered on the "dos and don'ts" of the institution, ensuring that students are well-aware of the codes of conduct and academic expectations required of them. Beyond administrative guidance, the speakers placed a heavy emphasis on the preservation of character, advising the students on the importance of upholding high moral standards and finding a healthy, productive balance between their rigorous academic pursuits and their religious responsibilities.

A major highlight of the event was the formal recognition of students who participated in the intensive three-day Daurah organized by the association last week. To honor their dedication and successful completion of the seminar, certificates were presented to all participants. This gesture not only celebrated their commitment to early-semester learning but also reinforced the association's mission of fostering both intellectual and spiritual growth. The program concluded on a high note, leaving the new students motivated and better prepared for the journey ahead at Usmanu Danfodiyo University.
