NAMLAS-UDUS Hosts Successful Ramadan Lecture and Iftaar Program

The Nigeria Association of Muslim Law Students (NAMLAS), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) Chapter, recently organized a Ramadan lecture and Iftaar session.

The event, themed "Unity in Diversity: Exploring Islamic Teachings as Guiding Principles for Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence," took place on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

The program commenced with a prayer and Qur'an recitation, followed by a lecture delivered by Hon. Justice Abubakar Adamu. He emphasized the importance of Islamic teachings in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence. A Question-and-Answer session allowed attendees to engage with the speaker on issues of religious harmony and societal peace.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Abubakar Matazu, conferred honorary membership as a patron of NAMLAS on the guest lecturer. The event concluded with an Iftaar session, featuring the distribution of food, drinks, and fruits, followed by Solatul Maghrib prayers led by the Dean.

 

Attendees praised the initiative, describing it as a unique and enlightening experience. The event demonstrated NAMLAS-UDUS's commitment to promoting Islamic values, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence within the university community.
