NANS Demands Inclusion of All Eligible Students in NELFUND Scheme

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called for the inclusion of all eligible students of tertiary institutions in the NELFUND loan scheme. NANS urges the management of NELFUND to ensure that all eligible students across Nigeria are onboarded onto the NELFUND platform.

The loan scheme, initiated by the Federal Government, aims to provide financial support to students in tertiary institutions to help them achieve their academic goals. However, many students have been unable to access this fund due to the failure of their institutions to upload their databases to the NELFUND platform. By doing so, institutions will enable their students to apply for and receive the necessary financial support.

NANS urges the management of tertiary institutions to take immediate action to upload their student databases, ensuring that their students are not left out of the loan scheme. This initiative has the potential to alleviate the financial burden on students and their families, and NANS is determined to ensure that all eligible students benefit from it.

Mimidoo Joy Gundu, Public Relations Officer, NANS National Headquarters.
