NAPRI ABU Chapter Reaffirms Commitment to Capacity Building for Livestock Development

The National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has reiterated its dedication to building capacity for enhancing livestock value chains in Nigeria.

This commitment was emphasized by the Executive Director of NAPRI, Professor Mohammed Rabi'u Hassan, during a training session on artificial insemination procedures for livestock personnel from Borno State.

The training program, designed to provide hands-on practical experience, aims to improve livestock productivity and genetic diversity. Professor Hassan urged the trainees to take full advantage of the training, particularly the practical aspects, to maximize its benefits.

 

The event was also addressed by the Project Coordinator of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project for Borno State, Dr. Makinta Ali, who encouraged the trainees to leverage the training to enhance their skills.

The Head of the Artificial Insemination Unit at NAPRI, Dr. Yusha'u Usman Abubakar, highlighted the institute's commitment to advancing Nigeria's livestock industry through capacity development and technology transfer.

 

NAPRI's Assistant Director for Extension and Linkages, Y.M. Ishiaku, emphasized the institute's expertise and encouraged the trainees to establish beneficial relationships with NAPRI beyond the training program.
