Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, in her remarks, reaffirmed her commitment to sustaining the event annually throughout her tenure. She highlighted the significance of the gathering as a platform to reflect on the year’s milestones, foster unity, and recognize outstanding contributions across faculties and directorates.
Awards and Recognitions
The university presented awards in various categories to staff, faculties, and directorates:
- Institutional Collaboration and Innovation: Honoured staff including Professor Maikano Muhammad Ari and Dr. Adamu Ishaku Akyala for impactful projects enhancing research and learning.
- Learning Management System Compliance: Awarded to the Department of Taxation.
- Excellence in Service Delivery: Recognized the Directorate of Linkages and International Cooperation and the Directorate of Academic Planning.
- Green Campus Project Compliance: Presented to the Faculty of Law.
- Senate Procedures Compliance: Awarded to the Faculty of Agriculture, Lafia.
- Digitization Agenda: Recognized efforts by Professor Rashidah Funke Olanrewaju and Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Umar in advancing sustainable initiatives.
