The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, KWASU, Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has led the University’s delegation to the 10th U6+ Consortium of African Universities Conference holding at the University of Eldoret, Kenya from 7th to 11th September, 2026.
The theme of the 10th conference is “Africa and the Fifth Industrial Revolution, 5IR: Inclusive Innovation, Indigenous and Citizen Science for Sustainable Transformation.”
The U6+ Consortium brings together leading African universities to deliberate on strategic issues in higher education, research, innovation, and sustainable development across the continent.
KWASU’s participation is expected to strengthen the University’s engagement with continental partners on advancing inclusive innovation, leveraging indigenous knowledge, and positioning citizen science as drivers of sustainable transformation in line with the 5IR agenda.
The conference features keynote addresses, panel discussions, research presentations, and strategic networking sessions aimed at fostering collaboration among African institutions on technology, education, and development.
Professor Jimoh’s leadership at the conference underscores KWASU’s commitment to expanding its global footprint, building international research partnerships, and contributing to policy and practice that will shape Africa’s role in the Fifth Industrial Revolution.
