NASENI Game-Changing Tech Institute Takes Shape at BUK...Set to Drive Nigeria's Industrialization Takes Shape at BUk

In a significant stride towards driving Nigeria's industrialization, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has laid the foundation for the Sustainable and Emerging Technologies Institute (SETI) at Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

 

Unveiled on February 14, 2025, by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geofrey Nnaji, SETI aims to equip Nigerian youth with cutting-edge expertise in emerging technologies, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing.

The institute, which aligns with NASENI's core principles of Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization (Triple C), will nurture innovation, create job opportunities, and position Nigeria at the forefront of global technological transformation.

BUK's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government, NASENI, and the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology for selecting BUK as a hub for this transformative project.

 

The SETI project is poised to revolutionize Nigeria's technological landscape, driving industrialization, economic growth, and development.
