NASU NSUK Branch Honours VC Saadatu and Others At Maiden End of Year Dinner/Award Night

The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions better known as NASU, NSUK Branch under the leadership of its Chairman Comrade Dr. Danjuma Mohammed Namalama has recognised the 5th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman FELLOW; UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFP, for her exemplary leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and the development of the University.

 

The Award which was presented to the Vice-Chancellor at the Union's Maiden End-of-Year Dinner/ Award Night took place recently at the Assembly Hall of the University.

In her acceptance speech, Professor Sa'adatu thanked NASU for finding her worthy of the award, she stated that she accepted the award because she does not segregate among the industrial unions of campus since all of them are partners in progress in moving the University forward. She noted that since her assumption to office Eight Months ago she has recorded remarkable successes which she attributed to the massive support she has been recieving from her Principal Officers and also from the Unions on Campus, noting that with such support the sky will be the limit for the University.

The Vice-Chancellor explained that since her assumption to office she has made concerted efforts to pay off backlog of arrears that have accrued and will continue to pay them until all arrears are completly liquidated. She used the opportunity to admonish staff of the University against indulging in unethical behaviours which have the tendency of tarnishing the image and intergrity of the University.
