National Open University of Nigeria Announces 14th Convocation Ceremonies

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has announced its 14th Convocation Ceremonies, scheduled to take place on April 11-12, 2025. The ceremonies will be held both on-site and off-site, with specific arrangements for graduands from different study centers.

 

The on-site ceremony will take place at the University Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, and will include first-class graduands, award winners, and graduands from study centers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Off-site ceremonies will be held at state capital study centers for graduands from other locations.

The convocation ceremonies will feature a lecture by Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, on the topic "Advancing Africa's Positioning Within Global Development and Geopolitical Dynamics."

Graduands are required to complete clearance procedures at their respective study centers and return academic gowns and hoods by April 30, 2025. The university has also announced measures to ensure security and order during the ceremonies, including a "no gown, no entry" policy and restrictions on luggage and handbags.
