Newgate University Faculty Of Law Hosts Public Speaking And Leadership Seminar 2026
The Faculty of Law at Newgate University Minna came alive with ideas, confidence and meaningful conversations today as Equity Chambers, a student-led chamber within the Faculty, hosted its Public Speaking and Leadership Seminar 2026.
Held under the theme, “From the Classroom to the Courtroom: Building Communication and Leadership Skills for Future Lawyers,” the seminar focused on a crucial part of legal education that goes beyond textbooks and lectures: the ability to communicate with clarity, think with confidence and lead with purpose.

The session featured insightful contributions from Haruna Abdullahi Esq., Dean, Faculty of Law; Farouk Ayawa Esq.; and Mr. Yahaya Mohammed Usman, who shared practical perspectives and encouraged students to develop the confidence, communication skills and leadership mindset required to thrive in the legal profession.
For the students of Equity Chambers, it was more than a seminar. It was an opportunity to sharpen their voices, broaden their perspectives and take another step towards becoming well-rounded legal professionals.
The event concluded with a call to action: Speak with Confidence. Lead with Impact. Succeed in Law.
