 In a remarkable achievement, Tochukwu ThankGod Okafor, a talented Nigerian scholar, has secured the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarship, allowing him to pursue a Master’s degree in Germany. Notably, Tochukwu achieved this milestone with his very first scholarship application.

Holding a Bachelor's degree in Forestry and Wildlife from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria, Tochukwu expressed his long-standing desire to pursue further education abroad. Despite lingering procrastination, a timely encouragement from a friend, Anabel Emebo, propelled him to apply for the 2022 version of the DAAD scholarship.

Tochukwu revealed, "Some months ago, my very good friend; Anabel Emebo encouraged me to start my scholarship application journey and stop procrastinating. I immediately started searching and found the right course for me. I applied for it, and the rest, they say, is history."

The DAAD Scholarship, known for its full coverage of tuition along with €1,200 monthly stipends and various additional benefits, is highly competitive. Tochukwu's success on his initial attempt serves as an inspiration to those contemplating similar pursuits.

Sharing his journey on LinkedIn, Tochukwu emphasized the significance of packaging one's CV effectively, including strengths, volunteer activities, networks, and leadership roles. He emphasized the importance of well-prepared supporting documents, such as motivation and recommendation letters, while attributing his ultimate success to faith.

In an encouraging message, Tochukwu urged others not to lose hope after facing rejections. Please never give up in your pursuit for excellence," he stated.
