Lawal recently reached out to renowned businessman Femi Otedola, penning an open letter to the entrepreneur, seeking assistance to cover the costs of his medical treatment. The young student's predicament is exacerbated by the fact that he has been advised to seek medical treatment abroad, which is beyond his financial means.

With little resources at his disposal, Lawal took to Twitter to make his plea public, hoping that Femi Otedola, known for his philanthropic efforts, would extend a helping hand to cover the substantial medical expenses.

Muhamada Lawal, a 300-level student at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, expressed the profound impact his illness has had on his life. He has had to suspend his education due to his deteriorating health, rendering him unable to sit for examinations or continue his academic pursuits.

Lawal has explored various treatment options within Nigeria, but his condition has not significantly improved. He has faced crisis moments, and his local doctor has been managing his condition. As a last resort, a video detailing his medical procedures was sent to overseas physicians for a comprehensive assessment of his health condition and potential treatment options. However, the considerable medical bills have left him in a state of uncertainty and inaction.

Speaking to Legit.ng, Lawal disclosed that he requires $28,000 for medical treatment abroad, equivalent to over N21 million based on the current exchange rate.
