In a groundbreaking achievement, Nigerian student Victor Olalusi has become the first person in the world to attain a perfect 5.0 GPA in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences at the Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow (RNRMU). Olalusi's exceptional academic journey, marked by consistent excellence, has solidified his place as a global academic prodigy.

Born on July 18, 1988, in Ondo State, Nigeria, Olalusi's journey began with remarkable success in secondary school, where he emerged as the best student in the WAEC examinations in 2004. Graduating with a First Class degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in 2005, Olalusi later redirected his passion toward medicine. He secured admission to study Medicine and Surgery at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) but opted for a scholarship to pursue Medicine in Russia under the Russia-Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement.

Olalusi faced numerous challenges upon arriving in Russia, including adapting to a new environment, language, and cultural differences. Undeterred, he immersed himself in his studies, excelling in every semester with a perfect 5.0 GPA for seven years. Despite facing racism and isolation, Olalusi actively engaged in extracurricular activities and earned recognition as one of the best students in the faculty, eventually graduating as a medical doctor in 2013.

Returning to Nigeria in 2013, Olalusi completed his housemanship training at State Specialist Hospital, Akure, and the compulsory National Youth Service scheme in Rivers State. Currently pursuing postgraduate studies and research, he has received accolades from various organizations and institutions, including the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja and the Russian Embassy. Olalusi has been featured in prominent media outlets and invited to speak at events, showcasing his inspirational journey.
