With the abductors demanding a staggering N1 billion ransom for their release and setting a deadline of March 27, 2024, for payment, the situation was dire.

Led by Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, the rescue mission culminated in the early hours of Sunday, showcasing the tireless efforts of the Nigerian military in collaboration with local authorities and government agencies. The successful operation marks a significant victory in the fight against terrorism and insurgency plaguing the nation.
