Northwest University Kano Announces Update on Student Upkeep Payments

Northwest University Kano has issued a statement regarding the ongoing disbursement of student upkeep allowances.

According to the announcement, the batch B upkeep payments, which cover students whose institutional loans have been disbursed and are awaiting refunds from the university management, are expected to commence next week.

The university apologized for any inconvenience caused and requested patience from students who are yet to receive their payments, particularly those in batch A. It assured that the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) will disburse the remaining payments soon.

Additionally, the university informed students that the application for the 2025/2026 academic session NELFUND is currently ongoing and will close in January 2026. Students, especially those in batches A and B, are encouraged to reapply for the next session's loan by accessing their dashboards. However, students in batch C whose institutional loans are still verified cannot reapply until their status changes to disbursed.
