NUC Approves New Programmes for FUNAAB
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to establish new academic programmes following a successful Resource Verification visit last year.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for the introduction of new academic programmes at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). This follows a successful Resource Verification visit conducted last year to assess the institution’s readiness in terms of human and material resources.
The Resource Assessment panels, composed of experts in various fields, evaluated FUNAAB’s capacity to establish and sustain the proposed programmes. Based on their findings, the NUC Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, has endorsed the commencement of the Full-Time mode for several Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, set to begin in the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
The newly approved Undergraduate Programmes include:

Additionally, the approved Postgraduate Programmes are: 7. PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D. Mechatronics Engineering 8. PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D. Entrepreneurship Studies 9. Professional Master in Integrated Water Resources Management
