NUC Conducts Resource Verification for New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes at Modibbo Adama University

Modibbo Adama University, Yola (MAU Yola), recently received the National Universities Commission (NUC) Resource Verification Team on campus, for the verification of several academic programmes across different faculties.

The exercise, was conducted to assess the adequacy of human and material resources required for the take-off and accreditation of the programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

During the visit, the NUC team undertook a comprehensive review of facilities, staffing, laboratories, curriculum, and learning resources.

The verification exercise, was described as intensive and demanding, keeping faculty members of the university community and the visiting NUC officials, fully engaged throughout the process. 

At the end of the exercise, the NUC team while pointing out their observations, gave positive feedbacks, commending the University’s level of preparedness and commitment to academic excellence.

The University Management, is now awaiting the formal accreditation and approval of the verified programmes by the National Universities Commission. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar on behalf of the management, appreciated the NUC team and assured them that all the observations made, will be addressed. 

The successful completion of the exercise, underscores Modibbo Adama University's ongoing efforts to expand its academic offerings under the distinguished leadership of Prof. Ibrahim Umar, in order to enhance research capacity, and align programmes with national development needs and global best practices.
