NUC Resource Verification Teams Visit NSUK to Assess New Programmes
Nasarawa State University, Keffi, welcomed NUC resource verification teams to assess new postgraduate and undergraduate programmes set to enhance academic offerings.
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, received resource verification teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC). This visit aimed to assess new academic programmes that the university plans to offer for the upcoming admission cycle.
The NUC teams evaluated the following new postgraduate programmes:
New Postgraduate Programmes:
1. Ph.D. in Financial Sector Regulations
2. Ph.D. in Money and Capital Markets
3. Ph.D. in Development Finance
4. M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Finance
All postgraduate programmes will be housed within the School of Postgraduate Studies.
In addition to postgraduate offerings, the NUC teams also reviewed several new undergraduate programmes, including:

1. B.Sc. in Environmental Health Science (Faculty of Health Sciences Management)
2. B.A. in History and Diplomatic Studies (Faculty of Arts)
3. B.Sc. in Architecture (Faculty of Environmental Science)
4. B.Sc. in Building Technology (Faculty of Environmental Science)
5. B.Sc. in Data Science (Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences)
6. B.Sc. in Cyber Security (Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences)
The successful resource verification exercise marks a significant step forward for Nasarawa State University, as it prepares to offer these innovative programmes aimed at equipping students with essential skills and knowledge in their respective fields.
