NYSC Director Cautions Corps Members Against Night Travel
The caution was delivered during Mr. Aremu-Cole's visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Yikpata, Kwara State, where he addressed the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 corps members.
The Director of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) North-West Area Office, Mr. Kehinde Aremu-Cole, has issued a warning to corps members, urging them to refrain from traveling at night. The caution was delivered during Mr. Aremu-Cole's visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Yikpata, Kwara State, where he addressed the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 corps members.
Expressing concern over the potential dangers of night travel, Mr. Aremu-Cole highlighted the tragic loss of a child in an automobile accident during national service, emphasizing the emotional toll on parents. He implored corps members to resist any pressures or temptations that might lead them to embark on journeys during nighttime hours.

In addition to the travel advisory, the NYSC boss encouraged corps members to accept their postings with a positive mindset, emphasizing the impact they can make in their host communities through the Community Development Service (CDS). He expressed his passion for community development, youth empowerment, and human capital development, offering free access to assistance in pursuing national goals.
The State Coordinator of NYSC in Kwara State, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa, welcomed Mr. Aremu-Cole earlier, describing him as an orator with administrative competence. Olaoluwa stressed the importance of corps members adhering to the director’s instructions and acknowledged the director's mentorship of many youths and associates.

Before concluding his visit, Mr. Aremu-Cole inspected the camp facilities, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the orientation camp.
