NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Unauthorized Travel, Emphasizes Security Consciousness

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a stern warning to Corps Members, emphasizing the need to obtain official approval before embarking on any travel.

Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the NYSC Director General, delivered this message during his recent visit to the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members in Bayelsa State Orientation Camp (Boro) and Rivers State Orientation Camp (Nonwa-Gbam) in Tai Local Government Area.

According to General Ahmed, any Corps Member who travels without proper authorization from the NYSC will face consequences in accordance with NYSC byelaws. He stressed the importance of adhering to security protocols, urging Corps Members to avoid risky adventures that could jeopardize their safety.

In addition to cautioning against unauthorized travel, General Ahmed encouraged Corps Members to actively contribute to their Place of Primary Assignments (PPA) and serve their host communities diligently. He emphasized the need to execute meaningful projects that enhance residents’ quality of life.
