OAU Announces 2024 Admission Screening Dates and UTME Registration Process

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has officially announced the dates for its 2024 admission screening exercise for both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates.
According to a press release signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, K.A. Bakare, the registration period for the screening exercise will commence on Monday, August 5, 2024, and will conclude on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
The university noted that only prospective students who selected OAU as their first choice and achieved a UTME score of 200 or above are eligible to apply. Direct Entry candidates are also eligible.
Online Screening Process
The screening exercise will be conducted online. Candidates must ensure they provide accurate information and upload the correct credentials to avoid automatic disqualification. The university emphasized that providing false information or incorrect credentials will result in disqualification.
Important Dates to Remember
- Registration Period: August 5, 2024 - September 1, 2024
- Screening Schedule Availability: September 3, 2024 - September 7, 2024
- POST-UTME Screening Dates: September 9, 2024 - September 13, 2024
Screening Fee
The PUTME-Screening fee is set at two thousand naira (N2,000.00), excluding portal access charges.
Registration Guide
Follow these steps to register for the admission screening exercise:
- Visit: OAU Admissions Portal.
- Log in with your Registration Number as the Username and your Surname as the Password (password is not case-sensitive).
- Fill out the biodata form and click continue.
- Obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from the site and use it to make the payment online or at any commercial bank.
- Once payment is accepted, log out and then log in again.
