 The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) has successfully concluded its 1st Annual Registry Workshop, a landmark four-day event dedicated to modernising administrative processes in Nigerian higher education.

Held from March 31 to April 3, 2026, at the Prince Dapo Abiodun Twin-Lecture Theatre, the workshop focused on the theme: "Contemporary Higher Education Registry: The Imperatives of Reskilling and Upskilling."

In his opening address, the Rector of OGITECH, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, described the Registry as the "life-giving source" of any institution. He emphasized that the integrity and success of a school depend entirely on the competence of its administrative backbone. Dr. Oluseye noted that the workshop is a strategic response to the evolving demands of modern technology and policy changes in the education sector.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, Chief Ayotunde Odulaja, commended the Rector’s vision and reaffirmed the Council's support for capacity-building initiatives. Similarly, the Convener and Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, highlighted that the Registry must remain the hub for academic excellence and efficient records management. She urged participants to embrace digital transformation to meet rising stakeholder expectations.
