Open Letter Urges Sokoto Governor to Address University Infrastructure Issues

In an open letter dated August 18, 2024, Muhammad M. Gidadawa has commended Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu for his effective leadership and timely payment of salaries to state and local government workers. The letter also praised the governor's efforts to modernize Sokoto with improvements such as street lights, floral plantings, and new street construction.

However, Gidadawa highlighted a pressing issue concerning Sokoto State University's infrastructure. He noted that despite the university's initiation by former Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the institution's condition has worsened, with inadequate facilities for students. Gidadawa specifically pointed out the shortage of lecture halls that can accommodate 300 students, underscoring the need for urgent intervention.
